Review: GOSH Velvet Touch Foundation Primer

This post would be a sponsored product review from Shopper’s Drug Mart at Bayview and Major Mackenzie in Richmond Hill, Ontario.  (Their facebook page here.) The cosmetics manager there was very nice and generous to give me testers to review when I told her I was a beauty blogger. Having said this, what I write here is still my own honest opinion and my own experience with the products from my own experience. Thanks so much!!

The GOSH velvet touch foundation primer is true to its name when it says velvet, after applying this to my face, it feels smooth and soft.  It comes in a pump bottle and I think one pump is enough for my whole face. I usually spread it out from my inner cheeks to my outer and use whatever is reaming on the rest of my face. My pores are a blurred after applying this primer and it does help with making the foundation go on smoother without patches and dryness.

The primer comes out rather thick and is white in color, however when you blend it out, it is clear and matte. I have worn this primer on my sensitive combination summer skin, and this primer tends to get a bit oily on the 4~5 hour mark and does tend to move along my face leaving some patches and shine. However, when I tried it on someone with dry skin, this primer had managed to moisturize their skin and keep makeup on longer. So in conclusion, I think that this primer may work better on dryer skin types or in cool temperatures.

This is how it looks when it is blended on my skin. It kind of already looks smoother and softer.

Pros:
-makes your skin smooth and soft
-makes foundation go on smoother

Cons:
-may not be for oily skin types or hot weather

Who may like it:
People with dryer skin types or people who want a moisturizing primer.
